Artist Statement.
Heart disease runs in my family. Our improved quality of lives have been made possible by the advocacy, education and funding of research surrounding heart disease and stroke. Therefore, 20% of the sale of each painting will be donated to the Heart and Stoke foundation as a way to give back.

Working in this style of Abstract Art is elusive in approach and the most difficult and most rewarding of all the arts. The challenge is to dismiss all conscious training and experience and basically ‘free fall’ not knowing where ‘to land’. Learning and finding a balance sometimes leads to destruction and then revelation again. Tearing away at surfaces once applied has the possibility to reveal a satisfying unexpectedness.
Recent paintings consist of mixed media and are layered with many coats of varnish for permanence.
